Great reporting but please fix the app!

I am an avid reader of The Irish Times - I just wish the navigation bugs on the app could be fixed. I’ve stopped clicking on stories even though I’m a subscriber, as every time I come back out of a story, my location jumps all over the place. It’s doing a great disservice to the quality content, unfortunately.
Great reporting but please fix the app!

Slow, buggy and unusable without connection. Just go with the website.

As a paid subscriber it annoys me how bad this app is. It’s quite buggy, slow and serves nothing extra over the website. Worse, when the connection temporarily drops, the app locks you out, even mid-article. Going back to article list brings you to the top and the back function from the letters section is doesn’t function properly. Not even the website has these issues. Devs are clearly more interested in adding pointless features than fixing these basic bugs.

First one was every time I clicked on a new article or the home page, the pop up to accept cookies came up. Every time. Most recent one was every time I open the app or return to / refresh the home page, it opens towards the bottom of the page so I have to scroll up to the top. Small issues but they are annoyances, especially when paying a subscription
