Excellent App & Excellent Customer Service
The app is super clean, adverts are not screen-filling and not obnoxious thankfully, and of course the writing is always very interesting and witty.
The customer support at The Times is amazing, cheerfully and helpfully giving me all of the information I asked for, and very personable, which is important to me during any customer service experience. It felt like we worked together and I felt happier after the experience than I did before, 6* service!

Times Ireland Edition
The Times sells itself but the Ireland edition has steadily improved over the years. Having subscribed since the paywall was introduced, the app has steadily improved and is by far and away the best news app in my opinion.
Annoying and intrusive ads
I used to enjoy this app, but the latest version has doubled the size of inline adverts making them much more intrusive. The current ads that I’m seeing are animated so much more annoying. I’ve also clicked accidentally on them much more often which has caused the App Store to open and interfere with me actually trying to read the page.
If the app was free, then this would be tolerable. But the fact that I’m paying a subscription and then having these ads thrown in my face, to the point where it distracts from the paid content, causes me to question whether I should continue to pay my subscription - very disappointing
