Good, professional App... with a few minor irritations
Like most review for WebEx, I think that WebEx is only let down by some very minor niggles. The fact that these irritations are even being mentioned means that the vats majority of the functionality and usability are good.
1. When setting a meeting, passwords are forced / mandatory. While you can change them, it’s likely most people will forget. I understand why passwords are mandatory (recent spate of meetings being ‘hijacked’) and I understand why Corporate customers want it to be ‘strong passwords by default’, it can be annoying. Having said that, if joining from within the App, and within the same account that’s et the meeting, the password is auto submitted.
2. When using Webex with a Phone, or when using with an iPad but with phone also connected to the same Bluetooth headphones, Webex always cuts the Mic when a call comes in. This is really annoying. There could be a setting that automatically sets ‘Do No Disturb’ mode when on an active Conf call.
3. Some Webex meetings that are in my Outlook calendar don;t appear in the Webex App. Initially, I thought this was only other people’s meetings but it includes my own sometimes.
4. It would be useful to have a sort of ‘regular rooms’ section on the App to store shortcuts of personal rooms that are used regularly (e.g. work colleagues).
See.. only minor niggles. Generally, the App is excellent.
Stop incoming calls when using calling over internet
Calls coming through when using call over internet interrupt Webex meeting calls. Would be great if this could be fixed.
Adequate, but could easily be better.
It works pretty well but why can’t it simply use this app that you are already running for audio too? (Call-Over-Internet doesn’t count when you have to install another third party app)
GoToMeeting has that functionality and as a result I much prefer that to this, if they were to ever change that and have built in audio I would love it, but until then I sigh every time I get a meeting invite with a WebEx link.
