Jab. Jab. Uppercut. Boxx is a video-based health app focusing on boxing-style exercises.
Designed to provide an efficient and fun full-body workout, it offers three additional styles of workout: cardio, strength and yoga. And it’s not all quick-hit exercise sessions.
Offering a tailored training programme (there’s a 14-day free trial so you can see if it’s for you) the app’s Classes section hosts categorised ‘collections’ of workout videos.
In the Boxing area, for example, you can try the Technique videos first to get the basics, or plunge straight into a BoxxHIIT (high intensity interval training) class to target specific areas of the body.
Helping you build your levels, workout sessions vary from seven to 35 minutes in length, with trainers demonstrating the exercises as a timer counts you down.
And because no exercise regime is efficient without an appropriate diet, Boxx delivers recipes too. There’s a nutrition plan and suggestions for breakfast, lunch, dinner and snacks. These meal cards are all downloadable.
Pulling it together is the Plans section. These combine targeted videos with nutrition to achieve specific goals, from weight loss to muscle sculpting. Plans run across several weeks and include downloadable guides.
Best of all, new content is added every month so you won’t get bored of your workout.
