Staying in is the new going out. And just because you’re at home, it doesn’t mean you can’t socialise.
With Houseparty you can have a video chat with up to eight people at the same time. It’s ideal for bringing together your pub pals, connecting with your extended family, hosting a virtual dinner party or hanging out with school friends.
Houseparty can connect to Contacts and Facebook to find your friends. Turn on notifications and your device will tell you when these pals are available to chat (or “in the house”).
Vitally, if you don’t want everybody to know you’re online when you’re chatting with a few favourites, you can choose to “sneak into the house” by pressing and holding the app icon.
If your friends aren’t yet using the app, you can share your profile link with friends via Messages (or any other chat app).
It’s not just about chat, either. There are trivia quizzes, a fun Pictionary-style game where one of you attempts to draw an object and everybody else tries to guess what it is. You can also share your screen if you want friends to see what’s on your device.
For friends who aren’t available right now, send them a “facemail” video message.
Houseparty is a great way to spend time with friends and family when they can’t be physically with you.
