Avoid this ridiculous service
One of my worst experiences!
Be careful! The driver stole from us. We requested him to activate the taxi meter when he got to pick us up from our hotel. Not only did he begin making rounds to extend the length of the drive, but when we arrived the taxi meter read was on 238 TL but he insisted we should pay him 400 TL in cash! He gave us no other option but to pay the sum he made up. He keeps a knife in his compartment glove, something we have noticed while he gave us some brochets pushing us to go to his friend’s restaurant. On top of that all, he keeps on smoking during the entire ride while we are in the taxi even though we asked him to stop.
We called customer service while on the taxi no one is speaking English and no one was able to help! What a horrible situation I sincerely hope you will choose other way to commute in Turkey.
Trip to the airport at night
I put one star not for the driver or the ride…actually, I gave him 5.
However, when I ordered a taxi, the estimate price was 468. The driver’a taximeter even showed 408! However, he said that he needs to put the extra costs for the highway tolls and the bridge. Nothing was written about this when I made the order and it wasn’t even possible to check this info! It’s very inconvenient, to say at least, for a tourist who has some cash left in order to spend it for the ride…and then, there is a 100 extra. The driver said that they had asked the administration of this application to write about the extras…but they were not heard.
