Unassumingly effective
I didn’t expect to get much out of 5 minutes of flashcards a day, but the variation and game-like experience works wonders. Words actually stick and I use them in conversation. Highly recommend it as a companion to whatever other studying you’ve got going on. And if you’ve got nothing but 5 minutes to study your language today, THIS is how you spend them.
It’s great with some place for improvement
Overall, great app. I like it better than Duo, interactive and the ability to choose topics is great. It makes language much more relevant straight away. The disadvantages for me would be - the writing exercise with jumping letters, it is just extra time consuming because of the jumping letters but I believe it brings no particular benefit in terms of learning how to write a word. I’d rethink that one. Also, pictures are sometimes a bit confusing, translation appearing on the picture should be an option for a learner, as pictures for some topics are quite similar. I know I can click and see the translation but not for all the exercise types.
Also, addition of speaking exercises, I think, would be beneficial. My husband bought himself a yearly subscription so I am familiar with the paid version too. Adding family subscription would be nice (I have not seen it so far), as we all here are learning some language, it would be nice to share the journey and save some money.

Great way to practice
If you try to learn Japanese you will stumble upon the hard part of kanji, the way this app will help is the best practice you can get yourself to remember and memorize all the characters practice every day for at least 15 minutes a day I’ll get you through The hardest part in Japanese 100% will recommend this app for everyone that’s starting Japanese
