* View your current glucose reading, trend arrow and glucose history
* Receive low or high glucose alarms with FreeStyle Libre 2 sensors
* See reports, such as Time in Range and Daily Patterns

SMARTPHONE COMPATIBILITY
Compatibility may vary between phones and operating systems. Learn more about compatible phones at http://FreeStyleLibre.com.

USING YOUR APP AND READER WITH THE SAME SENSOR
Alarms can only be issued on your FreeStyle Libre 2 reader or your phone (not both). To receive alarms on your phone, you must start the sensor with the app. To receive alarms on your FreeStyle Libre 2 reader, you must start the sensor with your reader. Once the sensor has been started with the reader, you can also scan that sensor with your phone.

Remember that the app and reader do not share data with each other. For complete information on a device, scan your sensor every eight hours with that device; otherwise, your reports will not include all your data. You can upload and view data from all of your devices on LibreView.com.

APP INFORMATION

[1] If you are using the FreeStyle LibreLink app, you must also have access to a blood glucose monitoring system, as the app does not provide one.

[2] Alarms that you receive do not include your glucose reading, so you must scan your sensor to check your glucose.

Glucose Alarms

I’ve been using the app for a while now and while it’s been great, the recent update that allows for low/high alarms has really pushed it to the next level and makes my blood sugar easier a lot easier to manage.

With that being said, I think the app would greatly benefit from an update that allows users to add more than just one high and one low alarm. As an example, if my blood sugar goes below 85 (my current setting) and the alarm goes off it will not warn me again even if it keeps going down to 70 or 60.

Not only would this reduce the need for constant scanning until my blood sugar is between the low/high alarm threshold again but it would also make sugar management easier and help with peace of mind in general.

Thanks for all the hard work you’ve put into the app. It really is a game changer!

A mind of its own

I gave the app two stars, because the readings are usually accurate. As an app, though, it has been terrible. I usually have to swipe the phone more than once to get a reading, sometimes 4 to 5 times. Sometimes the alarms work and sometimes they don’t. It’s very inconsistent. I get reading errors on a regular basis. Today was the final straw. The alarms stopped working completely. I started to feel sick and swiped, only to find that my sugar was HI. It took hours to get down, I had high level of ketones in my blood (I used a home test), and almost went to the hospital. The Alarms section on my app had disappeared completely. I updated my app and the section reappeared, but the alarms still don’t work. I consulted help and read the user’s manual, checked everything, and the alarms still don’t work. I know they don’t work, because unfortunately my sugar is again high. As you would say in Hebrew, על הפנים. If I had another option besides the Libre available to me through kupat cholim, I would switch in a second.

Apple watch ⌚

why isn't it working with the apple watch; it would be so easy to scan using the watch
Instead of the Iphone
Even better if it would scan automatically once the watch in this scanning unique position...

Developer Response ,

Thanks for the suggestion. We are continuing to improve the app and we will look in to this.
