Lolly Sticks is an app for teachers. It simulates a very popular teacher tool: lolly sticks (aka popsicle sticks) in a pot. Teachers around the world use this simple tool in a variety of ways. Rather than just picking students who are keen to answer your questions, you can instead pick names at random from the pot and target your questions directly at the selected students. This can help ensure all students remain actively engaged in the learning experience and feel included. Gathering responses from a wider range of students can also help you build a much more reliable picture of learning across your class. And Lolly Sticks can assist you with other everyday class management tasks.
