Every time you multitask with many apps open, you need all the windows arranged accordingly. Magnet makes this process swift and easy.

In one drag to the edge of your display, you size any app into half of the screen. And by dragging its windows to corners, you snap them into quarters. Sliding on the bottom edge creates thirds, or even sixths on ultra-wide monitors. Taking advantage of such arrangements eliminates app switching and greatly enhances workspace efficiency.

All commands can be triggered via keyboard shortcuts as well. You can find a predefined set of hotkeys under the menu bar icon, or create ones that fit your habits.

How did we live before?

I can't work without this app, honestly. It's such a better solution than stage manager and resolves one of Mac's major fallbacks (and more) compared to the way Windows can automatically set windows to the side of a screen. I eagerly await further grouping options though, as with larger resolution screens I really can group 4 colums or even a 3x3 of windows (not that I would use all 9 spaces *all* the time).

Great app, small improvement

Hi, The app is great and I was looking for this solution everywhere.

One little suggestion is that when moving window to left/right, and then want to move the window to the top/bottom of the same side there is no need to enter a whole new shortcut. for example, after moving the window to the left, adding ip arrow will move the window to the top left.

Great app, minor bug

I used Magnet from the first moment I purchased Mac. However, after recent update it seem to conflict with Preview app, causing it to crash after using 'find' option in Preview. (this issue does not repeat when Magnet is not running. I don't expect such issues with highly rated, paid for, app. Hope it will be fixed soon.
