CONFIGURABLE WIDGETS ARE HERE! With the latest update, Sonuby finally offers widgets. And not just any widgets! NOW & NEXT HOURS WIDGET Based on the Live Overview in the app, this widget provides short-term forecasts for the next hours at your selected location. Depending on the selected Report, you'll see different variables. As a subscriber, you can also freely arrange or hide forecasts within the app. Tapping the widget opens a specially designed Live Overview in the app that shows you additional days and forecasts for the widget location alongside the forecasts already displayed in the widget. So you can use the app exclusively with the widgets and quickly find all the information relevant to you. NEXT DAYS WIDGET As the name suggests, this widget provides daily forecasts for up to 6 days on iPhone and 12 days on iPad. Depending on the selected Report, you'll see different variables. As a subscriber, you can also freely arrange or hide forecasts within the app. Tapping a day in the widget opens the day view for the tapped location in the app. So you can use the app exclusively with the widgets and quickly find all the information relevant to you. Welcome to Sonuby 1.7 which comes with many new and long awaited features and forecasts. 14-DAY OVERVIEW & FORECASTS This version includes a brand-new tabular 14-day overview that offers 14-day forecasts for the first time. Like the Live Overview forecast, it is fully customizable and offers many new forecast variables compared to the old 7-day forecast. The new vertical layout provides a much better overview of the most important forecasts. You can now tap on any variable and day to instantly see detailed daily forecast. You can also tap on the day to see the daily overview that you already know from Live Overview. 14-day forecasts are also available in the Live Overview. SNOW REPORT With the first snowfall in the Northern Hemisphere, you can now plan your next ski trip, backcountry tour or snowshoe hike with the new Snow Sports Report. MORE FORECASTS AT A GLANCE & NEW NAVIGATION My goal for this release was to better meet the needs of professional users and use the available screen space for more information. The most visually striking change in this release is the adjusted user interface. On the right hand side there is now a context menu that fills up with new buttons depending on whether you are in the forecast or weather map area. This has several advantages: 1. It eliminates the space wasted by the tab bar at the bottom and the Full Report and List View tabs at the top of the forecast view, allowing you to see more forecasts. 2. VERSION 1.5 IS HERE! Welcome to the biggest update since the release of Sonuby last year. Since mid-April until the end of this year I have temporarily stopped my freelance work to work full-time on the development of Sonuby. This update marks the beginning of a series of updates I'll be releasing in the coming months and lays the foundation for many new features and the long-term vision I have for Sonuby. A BRAND NEW DESIGN The biggest change in this update is a completely new design. With the new design, Sonuby not only looks much nicer, but is also easier to use. I would like to briefly explain what I put special emphasis on. 1. Focus on the essentials The heart of a weather app is the forecast. The new design puts the forecast even more in the center by having only two tabs, one for the weather report and one for maps. This means that the maps are quicker to access and do not need to be opened manually. Less relevant elements have been moved to locations that are still easily accessible but take up less space. 2. Improved navigation Great applications are clear and easy to use. The new design builds on familiar app navigation concepts such as the back-swipe gesture. 3. Improved readability Sonuby's previous design was very simple, the colors were rather subtle and not very accentuated. This sometimes made the text and forecasts difficult to read. The new design has much stronger color accents, especially in light mode. The colors are more intense, making the predictions much easier to read. 4. App-wide location management Managing a location (adding, moving, or removing it from a location collection) was previously only possible from the location collection section. Now this is also possible from within the forecast and maps sections. 5. Significant performance improvement With the new design, the application has been rebuilt from the ground up. Using the latest technologies and best practices, the overall speed has been significantly improved. FILTER + CONFIGURE FORECASTS This update allows you to customize the existing forecasts of a weather report. To do so, click the settings button in the top right corner above the weather forecast. There you will find the following options: 1. Filter forecasts Sonuby now offers two preset filters, "Short-term forecasts only" and "Weekly forecasts only" , which reduce the weather report to the corresponding forecasts. 2. Custom filter configuration If the filters are not enough, you can create a custom filter. You can disable individual forecasts and change the order of forecasts. NEW MAPS Not only did maps get their own tab, but I also added some new ones that you can use now: 1. Satellite 2. Sunshine Hours 3. Wind Gusts 4. Relative Humidity 5. VERSION 1.4 IS HERE! Thanks for all the feedback, I have implemented some of it in this version. If you have time, I would appreciate a review in the App Store :) Here are the new features in this version: IMPROVED LOCATION AND LOCATION COLLECTION MANAGEMENT One of the most requested features on the Sonuby feedback board was the ability to change the order of locations in favorites or custom location collections. I have implemented this feature in this update. To change the order of locations, tap and hold a location in the location management area (heart icon in the menu below) and move it to the desired position. With this update, you can also move locations between location collections. To do this, swipe left on a location and tap the move icon. You can then select the new location collection. Deleting location collections is also faster now. To delete a location, do the same as for moving and swipe left on a location. You can either click the delete button or swipe further left and the location will be deleted without any further confirmation. You can cancel the deletion process for five seconds. PREPARING FOR SONUBY 2.0: For the last few weeks I've been working on a redesign of Sonuby that will significantly improve Sonuby's usability and pave the way for new, helpful features and predictions. In this update I have started to lay the technical groundwork for this update and will start the redesign in April. I expect the redesign to be completed and available as Update 2.0 in June 2024. If you have time, I would appreciate a review in the App Store :) Here are the new features in this version: BETTER FORECASTS Sonuby now uses the latest meteoblue API, which brings the following improvements - Improved nowcasting for the next 1-6 hours by adding new observation and measurement datasets (like satellites, radar and weather stations) - Improved temperature forecasts for peaks and high altitudes - Improved precipitation forecasts and probabilities - Improved forecasts for South and Central America, especially for wind forecasts - Surf waves, i.e. the height of waves as they hit land, have been added. This last one is especially interesting for surfers, so I took the opportunity to improve the Surfing Weather Report. IMPROVED SURFING WEATHER REPORT The most striking new feature in the surf weather report is the new weekly overview. It now offers - Daily minimum to maximum surf wave height - Daily average swell height, wave period and wave direction - Wind speed, direction and gusts ( extended mode) - Water temperature ( extended mode) Surf wave height has also been added to Nowcast, Daily Overview and 7-Day Meteogram. IMPROVED SKYDIVING WEATHER REPORT The weekly overview of the skydiving weather report has also been improved. It now offers - Daily minimum to maximum cloud cover for low clouds - Daily minimum to maximum cloud cover for medium clouds - Wind speed, direction and gusts - Sunshine hours of the day - Daily minimum to maximum visibility (extended mode) Gusts have also been added to the nowcast wind forecast. IMPROVED DAILY LIFE WEATHER REPORT As you will quickly notice, I have moved the weekly overview directly below the current weather module. This makes it easier to see what to expect in the coming week. The hourly forecast is now directly below it and now also shows the amount of precipitation. FURTHER IMPROVEMENTS - Display of isobars (air pressure lines) in supported weather maps - Clearer symbol for the probability of precipitation in the hourly forecast - Weather map previews are now larger to help you better visualize the current forecast - Fixed bug where too high or too low temperatures were truncated in weekly overview - Fixed bug where saved weather data was not loaded - Minor layout improvements

VERSION 1.2 IS HERE! Thanks for all the feedback, here is what's new in this version: WARNINGS Warnings are now available. You can find them right next to the location names in the form of a colored triangle and an icon. When you click on the triangle, you will see all warnings for that location, along with information about the warnings. Warnings are available for more than 100 countries and in different levels of severity, indicated by different colors. PULL TO REFRESH Some users have missed the "Pull to Refresh" feature, the ability to update the forecast by dragging the view. This feature is now available in Report and Comparison modes, as well as in the Weather Warning Overview. Also, dragging while viewing your current location will update your current location. BUG FIXES & IMPROVEMENTS - Current weather now shows a dash instead of 0 if wind speed is not available. - Saving the position of the last viewed location in report mode works again. - Correctly display the tooltip line in meteograms in light mode. - Fixed issue where weather data could not be displayed when viewing accuracy. - Fixed a crash on iOS 12 devices. - Minor layout and logic improvements

VERSION 1.1 IS HERE! The first major version since the release of Sonuby includes the two most requested features as well as many improvements and bug fixes: DARK MODE By far the most requested feature on Sonuby’s Feature Board was Dark Mode. As an Enthusiast subscriber, you can now switch between the light standard design and a beautiful dark design. If your device is already set to dark mode system-wide, you don't need to do anything. Sonuby will automatically detect the setting and switch to dark mode. You can also switch between light and dark design manually via the app settings. If you are not yet an Enthusiast subscriber, you can try the subscription for three days (monthly subscription) or seven days (annual subscription). Also, this month you can get a 50 percent discount on the annual subscription by using the coupon code XMAS. This can be redeemed within the app. FORECAST ACCURACY A feature requested by many meteoblue fans was the display of forecast accuracy in the 7-day forecast. From now on, you will see five dots next to the day's date that change color depending on how accurate the forecast is for that day. RENAME LOCATIONS - NOW FREE You can now rename locations as a free user. SKYDIVING WEATHER REPORT IMPROVED Based on numerous feedback to my post in /r/SkyDiving/ (Reddit), I have made the following adjustments to the skydiving weather report: Nowcast: - Air pressure has been moved to extended mode as it is irrelevant for many skydivers. Daily forecast: - Wind direction is now displayed with arrows by default, wind barbs can still be enabled via the module settings. - The altitude meteogram for wind and temperature has been reduced to the most relevant jumping heights, the full altitude meteogram can be enabled via the module settings. - UV index has been moved to extended mode as it is irrelevant for many skydivers. OTHER IMPROVEMENTS - Wind is now displayed everywhere with wind arrows, wind barbs can still be enabled via the module settings. - Precipitation in 7-day forecast is now split into rain and/or snow. - Increased the contrast of light design in some places to improve readability.
