Fast & Excellent Customer Service

During the free account trial period everything was working fine, but when my year subscription kicked in, it no longer connected or worked. The app just stated that my account was inactive even though I had paid.

I then looked in the app settings, under the “Need Help?” section, and clicked on the “Send an Email” link. I then wrote of my problem and within 30 minutes I had a response. The Customer Support Specialist informed me that sometimes Apple’s payment processor system gets glitched and subscription packages purchased via Apple‘s App Store do not always activate. They gathered my transaction/receipt info and activated my account.

I started the process at 6:33am and by 9:33am my problem was solved and my account was working properly! Nord VPN has really fast Customer Service and the Specialists are helpful and concise! Excellent service and a great product!

(Notice I didn’t angrily shake my fists at the sky and blame Apple or NordVPN for all my life’s troubles? Taking a breath and a little initiative goes a long way)

USA: choose server w/high number...

...Customer support told me that high numbers are newer servers.
I’m on the 1st day of free trial. Able to connect to CBS and ABC but not to NBC past the ads. Customer support via chat was responsive. While they escalated the issue, I uninstalled to try another VPN, then went back to NordVPN. This time, I got NBC but had to reload it once. Was able to give the news to the same customer support persons. One gave me a tweak by having me add 2 custom DNS servers. Doing so made by connection to NBC smoother.

Regarding the iPhone version: I don’t get notifications in any form when there’s a disconnection. Yes, I have “Notifications” configured. Don’t forget to find “connect on demand” under General > VPN > “i”. While it does say there that configurations should be done within the app, I did not see where.

With that said, I have not encountered streaming issues.

Bottom line, I expect to become a subscriber after other family members experience it. I hope to change my rating to 5 stars.

VPN merit

So far, my experience of going through a VPN line to make my surfing safer has achieved one objective for the money I put forward: appease my conscience. Am I safer? Who in the world knows? Do I doubt any of the bells & whistles that take place when I connect? Sure it’s part of making a rational decision as so many decisions we make ever day. To try to discern the charlatans from the honest guy. Why the 5 stars? To make them feel better...
