Use of projects created with the Home Remote Designer will require the purchase of a "Home Remote Pro" license. This is a one-time In-App Purchase (it's not a subscription).

I am using Home Remote on iPad 2 to control my smart home.
What is great about this application, is that it allows you to fully design a "dashboard" to fit your home automation needs. I, for example, created a layout of my house (with garage and rooms etc) with all the lights and shades that can be controlled. I hung the tablet on the wall at the enterense to my house.
No other home automation application, that I saw, had this capability of designing your on dashboard from scratch.
The designing is done via a separate PC application. Ready made templates help you to get started, although it can be a little tricky for those not familiar with drawing tools.
Home Remote also has a long list of smart devices it can connect to. This includes many smart home hubs, sound receivers, lights, thermostats and more. The list is expanding all the time.
Last but not least, the developer, Bill, is very responsive and there is an active forum for asking questions and getting asnwers.
I highly recommend this application to both professional and DIY fox that are doing smart home projects.
