Tydlig is great; in fact, it’s sum thing special.

Tydlig

Calculator Reimagined

View

All calculators are essentially the same, right? Numerical keyboard. A plus, minus, division and multiplication key. Loads of buttons you don’t understand (if it’s a scientific one).

Well, to the horror of maths professors the world over, Tydlig is breaking all the rules.

This is still a calculator but it functions more like a piece of paper on which you scribble down all your mathematical notes. Tydlig does all the actual sums for you, of course. You can link any of your results together to create a new sum. You can even make graphs from your workings as you go.

Because you don’t need to clear or delete anything to make way for the next calculation, it doesn’t matter if you work out how much you owe your window cleaner and promptly forget. Just open the app and the calculation will still be there.

Say you want to figure out the new price on a skirt that is 30% off, just write down “£65 - 30% =” and Tydlig gives you your answer. You can add text annotation if you want to keep track of everything. Add another calculation and you can just tap to link the answers and add them together for a total.

Tydlig just made you good at maths. And that’s a massive +.
