Request support for multi window on ipad
This app is great for book reading. Be it epub format or pdf. I also use it for journaling. Works great like an actual journal. My three requests are:
1) add multi window support on ipad so that i can open two books at once for reference.
2) if i highlight and add comments in a pdf, a box appear above the highlighted word which hides another word behind it and make it unreadable. Do something about it.
3) if possible please add option to insert images and stickers while annotating a pdf. It will drastically change the experience and be very helpful.
WARNING to Students
if you’re a student especially a medical student like myself, and using this books app to annotate and make side notes on your PDF by opening your PDF in the books app, please don’t! Use any other app instead. All of a sudden the app will crash and you wouldn’t be able to open the pdf anymore and you will lose all the valuable notes you’ve made. Mine happened weeks before my USMLE exams and i’ve lost my notes forever. I have learned from the reviews and online forums that many have experienced the same issue and no amount of troubleshooting steps have helped them recover any of it. I also contacted apple helpline and they weren’t able to help me either. Sadly no one will read this review before something like this happened because the app comes pre-installed on the ipad and it’s unlikely someone sees the rating before they face an issue.
Loss loss for students
if you're a medical student like me, and using this books app to annotate and make notes on your PDF by opening your PDF in the books app, please don't! Use any other app instead.
