णमोकार मन्त्र का संक्षिप्त रूप अर्हम है, और अर्हम् का विस्तार णमोकार मन्त्र है । पवित्र आत्माओ की विशिष्ट शक्तियाँ इस णमोकार मन्त्र के अंदर समाहित हैं । जैसे घर्षण से आग उत्पन्न होती है , ऐसे ही मन्त्र के ध्यान से एक आग उत्पन्न होती है, जिसमें हमारे सारे विकार, अहंकार, दुराचार, आक्रामक, भावनाएँ, अराजक उद्देश्य, अश्लील मनोवृत्तियां (मानसिकताएँ) , अशुभ विचार आदि सभी निष्क्रिय हो जाते हैं । स्वभाविक शक्तियाँ प्रकट होने लग जाती हैं । यही से मनुष्य का विकास प्रारम्भ होता हैl मनुष्य का यह विकास उसे देवत्व की और ले जाता है और आगे चलकर वही परम् ब्रह्म ईश्वर की प्राप्ति कर लेता है एवं ईश्वर को अपने अंदर प्रकट कर लेता हैl
