Description

Department of Environment, Science Technology & Climate Change, Govt. of Himachal Pradesh has developed this app to facilitate authorities to book challan of offenders under Banned Single Use Plastic. The offender can pay challan on the spot by scanning the QR code shown by the authorities to pay the compounding fee. Since there is complete ban effective on Single Use Plastic in the State of Himachal Pradesh, therefore, to monitor and check the effectiveness of ban and to punish the offenders for violations in the State for using and littering of SUP challans are imposed under the H.P. non-biodegradable garbage (Control) Act, 1995. There are various notifications issued under the H.P. non-biodegradable garbage (Control) Act, 1995 for banning the SUP in the State. All notifications are available on the website of Department of Environment, Science Technology & Climate Change, Govt. of Himachal Pradesh. This website allows the designated officers to report and citizens to pay fines for single-use plastic violations through online mode.
