Dear developers, BHIM app has stopped working saying it is not supported latest apple iOS. Could you please fix it as I am very proudful and dependent on BHIM upi transactions. We have 12.4.8 iOS as the latest software from Apple. We expect NPCI team to work on BHIM like how the other UPI provides do. I feel personally that this attitude is to promote other private vendors to be successful and bring Government owned companies to loose the market. This is only happening in INDIA and why don’t you treat all the citizens equally as it is developed for Citizens of INDIA, but made unusable by giving irrelevant reasons. We trust our government owned products and want see it to be successful more than any privately owned companies. My humble request is to develop our nation than joining the group, who wants to see our country undeveloped.

I am now trapped in a loop

I have been heavily dependent on BHIM app for many cashless transactions for years now. But today when I tried to open the app as usual it is showing me a pop up notification where it’s prompting me to update as I am missing on many useful features without this update. The sad part is I don’t have any other option except to press the okay button. But once I hit the okay it is showing me that for the update to be installed my iOS should be 17 or later. So, I went on to check if any latest updates are in the system as I thought my iPhone might be lagging behind. But to my utter surprise I saw that my iPhone is on the latest iOS already which is 16…. something and I don’t have option to update therefore. I then again closed and reopened the app which is still asking me to update the app. No other option or feature is shown except the okay button, which then shows that it needs IOS 17 and later. What do I do now? My iOS is running on latest update and yet has not reached 17 but the BHIM app requires 17 or later. This infinite loop has stopped me from using the BHIM app further.

Messy Account Pin set up

For last few days not able to transact money from my default account, with message that your upi pin is not set please proceed to set your UPI pin . And while i am trying to generate one it is asking about my debit card number which I don’t have one . So in nutshell to get the pin generated i have to apply for a new debit card ( which I don’t need ) , wait for its arrival then using the card get my pin generated . BHIM or UPI is supposed to help customers to do transactions without going to bank . But slowly these apps also becoming cumbersome, with regular changes like automatic pin deactivation and extra unnecessary features. All in name of safety. But why the hell you people are trying to make it a bank like with multiple unnecessary additions which ultimately renders unsafe due to its wider application. And how many passwords can a person remember in today’s life if all applications and internet sites started asking for regular password change . Now Situation is like you can’t keep one password for all for safety reasons and neither can remember so many passwords in today’s world . These things are not making life or transaction easier rather cause anxiety due to above mentioned impossibility. Hope app developers understand this difficulty. Whether you understand or not , i think it’s better the old way than unnecessary absurd and ever increasing impossible terms from these internet based uses .

Cannot complete reinstallation

Transactions were not going through last week. I uninstalled the app. Reinstallation is not completing and it gets stuck on ‘ verify mobile number’ No SMS is generated. I am using IOS. Online complaints give automated replies and helpline is available only for financial complaints. Very frustratingSo many users have complained that reinstallation is not happening. 3 complaints have been logged on your portal. Only automatically generated replies come with a complaint no. I have the latest iOS version 13.4.1. You’ll need to have a helpline where users can make calls or an email I’d we can write to. Talking to machines does not solve problemsThis is my third review. Made 3 complaints and no one gets back. I am using iOS 13.4.1. If issues as serious as inability to reinstall an app cannot be addressed over 4 to 5 days I think you should not be making apps. It was a good app but your services are patheticAre the app developers replies coming from a machine? There are so many I phone users confirming that the app cannot be reinstalled and it gets stuck on the SMS verification step. If they are incapable of handling problems with an app it should be removed from the play storeIt’s two months since the app is not working for iOS users. Hundreds of complaints have been coming in. If the developer cannot sort out the issue for such a long period they should not be hosting apps. We cannot delete our upi accounts with the app not being operational. Please remove your app from the AppStore if you cannot sort out issues for so long.
