Not sure if it’s reliable
Each time the same tune was detected at different bpm. There is a toggle button with a speaker symbol on it on the left top corner of the interface - the app is not clear about what it is meant for. I uninstalled it almost immediately.

Even if you listen to the same song, you get a different BPM if you do a different tap.
Toggle button is to switch whether or not to tap sound.
