This application provides reference to over 950 ragas used in carnatic music that includes Melakarta (fundamental) and Janya (derived) ragas. The most interesting feature of this app is that you can search for a raga from its swaras (notes) and vice versa. It also provides the Arohanam (ascending scale) and Avarohanam (descending scale) of each raga. Carnatic Raga is a must have app for any carnatic music enthusiasts.

App seems broken
The app seems broken it isn’t playing the ragas anymore.
Unable to get Octave option
I am told this app gives option to use Octave so when we play it indicates if the right octave is produced. I use iPhone and when I install this app I do not get the option of Octave. Please help.
