Email - Edison Mail 4+

Kindly fix the Office 365 login (constantly red flags location and locks me out of Microsoft Account whenever I try to access the app from my MacBook) and please introduce Mail Tracking feature as well. It is one of the major reasons why I had been hopping from one mail to the other. But otherwise, Edison Mail got me hooked with its fast push notification, design and cross-platform capabilities. The promise of OnMail is just a bonus. It is an absolute delight to use.

Hi Prerana Chand, thanks for the feedback! We don't have plans *right now* to introduce read-receipts on outgoing messages. Our reasoning here was the fact that we block read-receipts/tracker images and headers on incoming messages, so it felt a little hypocritical to let users send them in our app.

I used this app as my primary email app and everything was great until I noticed that I was unable to view attachments (specifically .docx attachments) as the email app would corrupt them. I tried forwarding these to my other email addresses but I couldn’t view them there either as they had been corrupted by Edison. It also randomly moves important mails to the spam folder and I have ended up missing a lot of emails because of this. This has caused a lot of problems for me and if it wasn’t for these major problems I’d still be using this app. Very disappointing. I’ve given the app two stars and not one because the UI and stuff is great and these problems can be fixed easily. But until then, I wouldn’t recommend this app to anyone.

Hi Tanmai Niranjan, thanks for letting us know you're having issues, happy to clear up any confusion:

1. Our app can only VIEW the file attachments themselves, we don't have any way of writing/changing (and hence corrupting) them. That said, if the app itself is having issues loading/displaying any attachment, please send us more information and we can troubleshoot: mailsupport@edison.tech (make sure to include “App Store review” in the subject line of your message.)

2. The spam folder (and filter) is 100% controlled by your email provider, which means if messages are going to spam, it's because they're flagging the sender. Third-party apps (including ours) have no control, and you will see these messages going to spam in other apps, not just Edison Mail. If your provider keeps flagging those messages as spam, we'd suggest marking those senders as safe via your provider directly, meaning going to their official web access (ie: gmail.com, iCloud.com, etc) and moving the messages to the inbox there (or whitelisting them, your provider likely has a process for this.)

EDIT: This problem still holds and this app at times is a an absolute nuisance. No notifications or badges, and this makes you miss out on important emails. Downgrading my rating from 3 to 2 stars.

I have been using this app for over two years now. I absolutely loved this app and had configured multiple accounts under this one. However recently the app had been showing an erratic behavior in terms of push notifications. The app would not send any notifications for any new emails received. I have to manually open the app and check for new emails. This way I am losing out on a lot of important time-sensitive emails. Not sure if the developers can fix this but I really hope so they can.
