Enclave - Local AI Assistant 17+

This app is fantastic—well-designed UI/UX, a great default chat experience, and multi-persona chat for task-specific insights. However, there’s room for improvement. The context length feels limited, and the assistant sometimes struggles with system-defined prompts. Not all LLMs behave this way, so exploring more models compatible with our hardware would be beneficial. Features like multiple chats and image recognition are still missing. Hope to see updates addressing these! Kudos to the founders and developers for this amazing project.

(P.S. Using an iPhone 14 Pro—would love recommendations for the best LLMs for brainstorming, writing, coding, math, personal guidance and role-play, while running smoothly on my device!)

Just to clarify—I’m actually a solo developer working on Enclave as a hobby, with the goal of making AI more accessible while keeping privacy a priority. That said, I’m always working on improvements! Context length, better system prompt handling, multi-chat, and image recognition are all on my radar for future updates.

This app is just what I was looking for. My needs to use an AI chat app are not very high to warrant a full-fledged subscription of the flagship models.

This app gives me the ability to:
- Add my own API keys
- Download offline AI models
- Make my own custom prompts

This gives me complete control over efficiency, pricing, and access to almost all the prominent AI models for use in different cases. The app allows me to execute my own tasks the way I want them to be in a very simple and elegant way.

The only con for me is the inability to upload images and ask questions about them, but the way this app is getting updated, I am sure even this feature will eventually be added.

Best of all, this app is completely free of charge and without any ads, only asking for a voluntary contribution. Totally worth it.
