# Disable Screen Dimming
EpocCam automatically dims your device’s display to save power. If you’d prefer to keep an eye on your video preview at all times, you can now disable this behavior. Just tap the gear icon to enter preferences where you’ll find the new Screen Dimming setting.
Ratings and Reviews
Not working in USB mode and no selfie mode
I am disappointed to see the new update which has omitted the features that were already present.
In the previous version I had, the cam was working with usb connected( without wifi) and switch directions was also working which is taken out.
Seriously? That is not called update..u have downgraded the software for whatever commercial reasons.
Will check other apps, if this is not fixed. I shall not recommend to others even if what we want is not available. Whats the use?
Easiest way to improve video quality
This is an awesome method to improve the video quality in today’s WFH environment without breaking the bank. Plus, it doesn’t require any further hardware than what you already have. The quality is very good (as good as the phone’s camera, obviously) and the responsiveness is without any lags. Will test it out for a few days and update as required. Thank you for a wonderful app!
The worst app on an iPhone
This is probably the first time I’m complaining about any iOS app. I set this app up with my MacBook Pro with Wi-Fi and the lag so much that it was literally unusable. It literally took like 10 seconds and it skipped so many frames for like in every three second I was shown one frame. Also checked the reviews for this app and it had horrible green screen feature. Also even if I need to test this app with a physical wire, I couldn’t even test paid features which I think they could have let us do for like a day or seven days.
