Good, fun app for meeting people
Glow - Video Chat, Dating does what it does well. The interface is simple and effective, and it has most of the functions you would expect. I only have a few issues with functionality:
• Why were groups removed? I think it was a very good idea, which no other apps have so I’m not sure why it was taken out.
• While I see the problems that could arise from sharing pictures in messages, a system like Glow - Video Chat, Dating’s could be implemented so that a user has to accept a picture before it’s displayed. As it stands, the lack of image sharing just pushes users to connect outside of Glow - Video Chat, Dating (on IG, Snap, etc.) which probably isn’t your intent.
•SuperLikable is fun and all, but SuperLikes tend to creep people out. Offering me a free SuperLike is basically pressuring me into a mind game– “will this really get someone’s attention or will it do the opposite?” This is more just a disconnect between users and app design than a problem with the app though.
Pointless unless you pay for premium
If you have Glow - Video Chat, Dating plus or Glow - Video Chat, Dating premium, you could see who liked you and match with them instantly. Now if you use the simple free version, Glow - Video Chat, Dating doesn’t show you those potential matches on purpose. For instance where I live, there aren’t too many people! Glow - Video Chat, Dating shows “There’s no one around you” while my “who liked you” number goes up everyday. I even gave my profile link to one of my friends who lives one mile away, he liked me, and then I could saw his “blurred” profile picture in the “who liked you” section, but Glow - Video Chat, Dating still showed me “There’s no one around you”. Basically they make you pay for the premium to match with people whom you like on the app.
