Description
GoK Direct App is a Citizen Communication Management Application Service by the Information Public Relation Department (IPRD), Government of Kerala, which offers a complete network that enables every citizen to access and communicate with Government Services in their area.
This platform can serve as the public interface for various departments and organizations under the Government of Kerala. A user can find information from government services in his/her area by searching the area's zip code. By doing so, a user can filter government agencies and follow their profile via the GoK Direct App to receive important message alerts and information about government policies and their updates.
Today, under these extraordinary circumstances, IPRD Kerala broadcasts COVID19 alerts and official news updates from the government. Users can download the app and follow the instructions from the various categories listed in the app.

Useful app.. But was not working on app upgrade to latest version..
I was in a previous version before and after upgrading to latest version , the app was not showing the alerts/updates though I was getting APNS notifications.. Finally I reinstalled app and it asked me PINcode and Seems to be working now.. Looks like should have an app upgrade handling.
It’s a good initiative by a govt to update the public
Very good initiative . I have a recommendation for the next upgrade . Since govt is the service provider ,this app can be developed as a emergency service request platform for public to reach out for a critical service . For example someone living anywhere in Kerala or any part of India or world can request for a covid help ,and the message goes to a contact center setup by the govt to tackle covid. The contact center then can act upon by initiating a protocol that flows down to the authorities concerned as an order . Any approvals to be taken by higher authorities can also be setup . Since govt has access to all departments under it , a platform like this will be very effective . Govt officials must use this app as an authenticated app to identify themselves . Public can use the generic app that supports emergency requests .
Not showing the recent information
I can see the information in the notification. But when I open the app there’s nothing showing. This is after the update.
