I use the app every day and this app is my hub for all kinds of news. It’s a great way to browse through news and gives me news about all the topics that I am interested in. However, one star less in the review because... when I am on this app reading news... I can not multitask. I cannot seemlessly switch between apps and come back to where I left off reading the news.

The app always refreshes itself when I go back to it from the multitasking menu and goes to the first page as if I have opened it for the first time and I loose the news article that I was reading. It gets really annoying... Google.. if you happen to read this review... please fix the bug.

The notifications are just ridiculous. Initially I was so happy on the preference you had with notifications settings. You could set it to low, medium, or high on the number of notifications you wish to receive. Additionally, it provided more customizability with the type of news you would like to receive. I received around one or two notifications based on my preferences of medium notifications and it was fine by me. However, as I started to use the app more I started to receive an influx of notifications. It was usually just irrelevant news which I did not bother about and neither did I understand. Then I proceeded to keep my preferences at medium notifications itself but unchecked all types of news except “Breaking News” and “Headlines”. Nonetheless, I still continued to receive an influx of irrelevant news notifications. Then I turned the number of notifications setting to low and prayed the app won’t bother me. But it still continued to do the same and forced to be block all notifications on it. It then led me to not even use the app for weeks and I relied solely on Twitter. But since I started using the app again I hope the same doesn’t happen as notifications are important to keep you informed about an apps presence but it SHOULDN’T CROSS THE LIMIT EVEN WHEN YOU PUT IT AT LOW!

This app is really awesome and has the perfect features for being best news app.

However there are navigation issues while reading articles and going back to article list with gestures. If I press the back button on top left while reading the article it goes back to the list just fine where it was scrolled but if I go back by swiping right from left edge it goes back to a random scroll much above where I was reading on the list.

It becomes really frustrating sometimes. Please fix it.
