Touch Id And Passcode Feature Disables Fix soon 😢

i wanted to give 5 star rating but l am giving 1 star. I have been using drive for last 5 years and iphone for last years installed drive on day one when I purchased my iPhone. And since then I have been using it. The most liked feature of drive was touch ID that made it secure. But couple of months ago Google removed this feature and it is a big dissappointed for me and others as well. Now I am going to delete app from my iPhone as I don't see any use of having it on iphone without passcode or touch ID Anyone who knows my iPhone passcode can easily access my all docs and photos on drive.
Please fix soon

Not able to download photos and videos all at once

As an avid user of the app, I was excited to see that it claimed to have the capability to download both photos and videos at once. Unfortunately, my experience with this feature was incredibly disappointing.

Upon attempting to use it, I found that the app would freeze and crash frequently, causing me to have to restart the process multiple times. When I did finally manage to get it to work, I was disappointed to see that it only downloaded a fraction of the content I had selected, leaving me frustrated and unsatisfied with the app's performance.

As a result, I can only give this app one star. While the idea of being able to download all content at once is great in theory, the execution in this particular app falls far short of the mark. If the developers can fix the issues and improve the functionality, I would consider revising my rating, but as it stands now, I simply can't recommend this app to anyone looking for a reliable and efficient downloading tool.

Poorly Engineered

Please note that this review covers both the app as well as the web app (desktop) version.

Google drive is a horrible product for power users. If you have decided to back up all your important memories with them, they will essentially hold you to ransom for it: Pay more or Delete your memories!

If you’ve been using a cloud storage app for years, and you’re a normal human, chances are you’ll have duplicates on your drive. There is NO feature on Google to help you detect those duplicates and erase it all in one shot. You will HAVE to manually go though each file and remove it yourself. Painfully slow and frustrating.

And it feels like the drive was made by a bunch of amateurs as a side project for an audience of 2-3 people with less than 1 GB and 100 files in storage. It just DOES NOT WORK for large number of files and storage. The pagination is painful, there is no sort by size option, there are not UI controls for multi-select etc (you have to hold down Command to select multiple files).

After all this, at least in India, they give you paid options of 200 GB (at INR 2100/year) and the next option is 2TB (at INR 6500/year). A 3x jump in price point! Nothing in the middle! So you either delete enough (painfully) to get to a storage size that works for you OR you shell out 3x more.

Google’s products used to be the epitome of software engineering. Not anymore.
