Anyone can join a meeting on Meet via an invitation. However, some capabilities are available only to Google Workspace customers.
With Google Workspace, you and your team can:

Attend meetings on the go. Meetings organised by Google Workspace users also create a dial-in phone number for each meeting so that every guest can join – without Wi-Fi or data.

Camera: Needed to allow others to see you during video meetings.

Pls change back to original graphics
Dear sirs,
Your app is very helpful both for school and for discussing project with my fellow students. The fact that it is free is a major plus as calling services like zoom require a paid membership for meetings that last longer than 40 minutes. But…
Today when I logged in, the graphics of the app had changed completely. This was extremely inconvenient as I was used to the old graphics. Now, as the end call button has shifted to where the unmute button used to be, every time I try to unmute my mic, I accidentally click the end call button. Furthermore, the chat service is much harder to get to. This too, is extremely inconvenient as our teacher expects us to answer to our attendance in the chat. Please change back to the original graphics. It would be much appreciated.
Advice for people before downloading
For people who want to download video conferencing apps and came across this app here’s a review suggesting if you should download this or not.
This app is totally free to use and I have been using it for 2 years. In case you are going to download zoom I’ll suggest you should rather download this app since it is easy to use and does the host cannot do things like turn on your camera or mic. Also even if you are waiting for a meeting to start and open another app, there’s no need to worry as this app automatically starts the meeting even if you are on a different app. It does not have useless features like having emojis which shows up on the screen when you click it. I would totally recommend this app over any other video conferencing app.
Want previous version and features found in PCs and laptops in smaller devices
I have noticed the change in graphics in google meet few weeks ago...I was more comfortable with the previous version of this app...please bring that version back...and one more thing...few days ago, while I was attending my online classes in google meet in my laptop, I noticed that there were new features like virtual background and blurring the background (like in zoom app)...but they aren’t found in my iPad and phone...please bring these awesome features in these smaller devices too...
If all these were there...Google meet would be the best meeting platform...
