Description
iGurbani - A powerful Gurbani Search Engine that allows you to search the Sikh scriptures.
With the Grace of God the Akal Design team developed iGurbani with a new database from the ground up. The focus of this app is to allow the user to accurately read the shabads from the Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji following a revolutionary style of showing the vishraams. Instead of commas and other punctuation the vishraams are highlighed in a specific color.
PLEASE NOTE: Since the Gurmukhi is from a new source and the database has been rebuilt from the ground up there are some errors that we could not catch during development. We are going to rely on the Sangat to help us identify and correct those errors.

My favourite Gurbani App
Usually we hear Gurbani from various sources like from someone who is reciting Gurbani, Kirtan being played on T.V., from Gurudwara’s loudspeakers etc. and we are keen to know what is that Shabad and what is the meaning of it. In this case, this App help you the most as searching through its handy and beautiful interface gives you immense pleasure. It also provide filters to enhance your searching experience so that you can make most out of it. The colored vishraams are also remarkable.
Furthermore, the english translations and Punjabi Translations are just great as we can read out meanings as well.
Overall, It is an great Gurbani app and I want congratulate the developer for creating such an beautiful Gurbani app.
I want to request the developer to do the following things
- Shudh Gurbani checks
- The translations by Faridkot Teeka sometimes are incomplete as the next lines remains missing where meaning of Pankti is long.
- and other things brought into notice your Goodself

spelling mistakes
Hi,
The app is great for all Gurbani lovers. It is one of the best apps that serves the purpose of searching through Gurbani. But there are lot of spelling mistakes. I hope you would take atmost care in making sure that there are no spelling mistakes in the Gurbani of app. Please correct the Gurbani in app so that those who are new to Gurbani do not learn it the wrong way. A single character mistake or a small grammatical error changes the meaning of Gurbani.
