Indian Express News + Epaper 4+

This app has one of the best UI/UX design and the journalism content is undoubtedly the best. But the app has problems with widget. No new content gets loaded in the widget section. And it continuously shows ‘unable to load’. It is very irritating and sad to see a non functional widget. As widget are a crucial part of any news app. It removes the problem of opening the app all the times, to see if there is any content of interest in the news section or not. With widget you can open the app only when you see a content of interest in the widget.

This makes sense because you buy a newspaper when you see that there is a news coverage (of your interest) on the first page.

I am extremely disappointed and frustrated with the Indian Express for abruptly cancelling the UPSC special subscription just two months into my annual package. As a dedicated UPSC aspirant, the UPSC section was the sole reason I opted for this subscription. This section was invaluable for my preparation, offering crucial insights, current affairs analysis, and comprehensive coverage of relevant topics. Its sudden removal has not only disrupted my study plan but also betrayed my trust in the Indian Express as a reliable source for UPSC aspirants.

To make matters worse, the customer care response has been utterly disappointing. Despite multiple attempts to reach out and seek clarification or a resolution, there has been no constructive support or even a basic acknowledgment of the issue. This lack of communication and customer support is unacceptable, especially considering the significant investment made in an annual subscription.

This experience has left me feeling cheated and disregarded as a customer. The Indian Express needs to understand that for UPSC aspirants, every bit of reliable information counts and abrupt changes like this can have a detrimental impact on our preparation. I expected better from a reputed publication and am now left reevaluating my decision to rely on them for my UPSC journey.

Earlier the app used to be good. Now, while reading a news article, only one paragraph is shown, and then the next news article is shown on the screen. As we scroll down to the next news article and again scroll up to the previous article, it is only then that the whole writing of that article comes up! This is extremely annoying.
And when you have headlines of a particular news on the home page, then on clicking one particular news head, I am expecting to read that particular news only. Why do you show all other news on that chain itself?
Please resolve this issue. It is very irritating as a reader.
And your subscription is so costly, when I took it, I am expecting the app to be reader friendly. These issues if not resolved, my subscription is going into waste because I don’t feel like reading from your app!
