Ratings and Reviews
I have been using this app for a while and I found it very useful. A great way to learn new words. If possible, Please include examples for all words.
Stunning But Flawed
The app is great, visually stunning and brilliant, but is deeply flawed i feel. Feels clunky while thumbnails are loaded, which takes a lot of time to load. Scrolling during the loading of the word is not smooth, and there are visual lags when the origin and Wikipedia section is shown for first time.
The AR can also be improved a lot, but im not criticising that since its a relatively new thing and many dedicated apps cannot do that properly.
The word of the day section is simply brilliant and beautiful but i feel those words are far too common to be highlighted (personal opinion).
At the end of the day, lookup feels like more of a “form over factor” kind of app and I definitely want it to improve on the slowness of the app.
(Running iOS 12 on iPhone 7)
Much better than old version
New version is good and make convenient thesaurus. Still offline is the missing one.
Developer Response ,
Hi! Thanks a lot for the feedback. I'm aware of the UI issue with Similar Words, it'll be fixed in the next version of the app.
While full offline support isn't available at the moment, any word that you've recently searched, liked, or added to a collection is accessible without internet.
Pictures for words are provided by Wikipedia, so if there's a Wikipedia Image entry available for specific word, there'll be an image.
Up to six family members will be able to use this app with Family Sharing enabled.
