Functionalities available in Mobile App :
1. Apply for new connection : Apply for New Electricity Connection in just 4 steps
2. Track New Connection Request : Status of New Connection application can be tracked using unique Application Id.
3. Submit Reading : Submit own meter reading along with meter photo to avoid average billing, after receipt of SMS from Mahavitaran. Mahavitaran will send SMS, if meter reading is not made available by meter reader
4. Feedback: Submit ratings of Mahavitaran services in the scale of 1 to 5, where 5 means Outstanding and 1 means poor service
5. View/Pay Bill: View and Pay Electricity Bills using different payment options like
a. Net banking
b. Debit Card
c. Credit Card
d. Cash Cards
e. Mobile Wallets
6. Update Contact details: Update Mobile Number and E-Mail ID of consumer
7. Register & Track Complaint: Register & Track Power Failure and Billing Complaints etc

1. Find MSEDCL Offices and Collection centres near you.
2. Estimate your monthly consumption and bill amount.
3. Get Feeder Information from where power supply is provided to your connection.
4. Report any suspected electricity theft activity in your area.
5. Submit application for addition / reduction in load
6. Update Aadhar card number.
7. Complaint / Service Request can be closed if issue is resolved.
Ratings and Reviews
App worked but not with Axis bank
Still it won’t pass Axis bank payment gateway...
Finally after months of waiting for the fix, I installed update v6.0.
Expecting it to work with Axis net banking. It just loads endlessly on axis page after I enter my credentials. So I dropped my preferred plan and went ahead with Creditcard option for making the payment.
I tried with credit card. It worked, so some fix definitely.
Who’s are the developers of this app btw? I believe you guys do read the reviews, is the state government not paying you the contract money on time. Or is it just casual development?
It’s been updated after 4 long months guys , you kidding me, if we don’t pay the bills on time the MSEB guys make the visit to our society and disconnects the electricity.
If there’s and app option we expect it to work to our satisfaction.
Third class app
Im sure Govt. must have spent hell lot of money to create this app, but this is simply waste of taxpayers money. I have web user id on mahavitaran, but i could not login with those details, as it showed acc does not exist. Tried signing up with the app and set my login id same as web id it says, account already exist. Tried to view and pay as guest, after entering a lengthy customer id and billing unit, app crashed. This happened 3 times. I felt like throwing my phone, but then I realised its an iPhone and I cant throw it. Its expensive😬! Govt. developers, hire some good UI/UX and logical developers on board. I would prefer paying the bill standing at mseb window, rather than paying on this app!! This is not an app it’s a slap😬
Needs massive improvement
Hi Mahavitaran App Developer Team,
Kindly update the app it has latency issues, after payment through paynimo from Netbanking option the screen keeps on buffering instead of showing payment confirmation screen, the UI of the app needs to be improved on priority, we can't provide feedback in your feedback section option the app doesn't capture any 1-5 rated scale option, these are the issues faced by me till now I'm using this app since 1yr request you folks to the needful changes or say improvements.
