Description
MAUSAM is a Mobile App of the India Meteorological Department (IMD), Ministry of Earth Sciences (MoES), Government of India to provide seamless and user- friendly access to weather products available on https://mausam.imd.gov.in/. Users can access observed weather, forecasts, radar images and be proactively warned of impending weather events. The app’s development and deployment is being led jointly by ICRISAT’s Digital Agriculture & Youth (DAY) team and Indian Institute of Tropical Meteorology (IITM) under the Monsoon Mission program of MoES.

Average UX, sensible suggestions
So Bangalore is a super rainy place at times, the rains can be patchy at times, it might be raining in one main road and it might be totally dry barely a km away. I like that this app rightly gives an estimate about the rain timings and intensity. It is sort of right, moreover it’s a nice app from government agencies which are known for their poor sense of design but at the same time, it does the job it’s supposed to do.
Needs improvements
App is good and useful but extremely buggy and irritating as hell. I am in Dumdum there is a weather station nearby, I hv added my city as favourite, still every time I open this app it shows me weather at Diamond Harbour where I neither have been or no reason to waste my time into. I do not give location permission to anyone. Is there a way you guys can keep my city as I mention without invading my privacy? We need this app, please make it more useful, less irritating.
Needs upgrade
Data is not dynamic. Refresh does not get upto date information. Many locations are not covered. UI can be better.
