  • Lot of missing features compared to Google Drive

    Insane Devil

I have recently shifted from Google Drive yo OneDrive out of force as i needed integration with MS excel. The upload file feature is very bad. When trying to share file from any app and using the Share menu to access onedrive: No options of creating new folder to save in, and no renaming of file before uploading. Both of these are present when using google drive. So this is a problem with OneDrive app and not iOS.

  • Photo sync is terrible

This review is not for the OneDrive as product but photos within the OneDrive and sync. I like OneDrive and like it very much. I have been using Office 365 from years. Naturally I like my iPhone photos to be syncing with OneDrive. But there are too many hiccups. Persistent “setting things up” for days - till I gave up and uninstalled. I engaged Microsoft support several times in past, but they seem to behave completely robotic (and idiotic). Can you update iOS, update OneDrive, send logs and so on. I kept saying that I am a developer myself and followed all the steps in troubleshooting guide. I gave up on them after spending hours over weeks. Lot of online discussion look similar. I have used Google Photos for far longer than OneDrive , and never (not even once) had any sync issues. I am subscriber of iCloud in addition to Office 365 just to keep my photos synced.

  • Not good enough

The OneDrive files and photos app lacks many features and simply cannot be compared to its Google counterparts. I've already shared feedback internally within the app for over 1 year but the team instead prioritised a UI update and further nerfed the photo selection functionality to just 40 at once. Basic functionalities such as link preview while sharing files are missing and the app struggles with tons of performance issues. The only reason I'm using OneDrive is because I'm paying for Microsoft 365, but if the team doesn't fix the issues soon then I might have to pivot to Google for the cloud storage.

  • Puts all other cloud apps to a definitive shame!

The OneDrive app on iPadOS is so appealing that I could buy a new iPad just to use this app on it. Way, way ahead of its peers (Yeah, way ahead of even Google Drive) with unmatched functionality. Seriously, it’s a breeze to use. And with the kind of tools for text management this app has, I would never even try any other cloud app. OneDrive on iPad is not just an app - it’s an experience in itself which allows you to do basically everything imaginable with your files. Flawlessly! 😎

Thanks & All the Best to the MS Team. 20th Aug 2018 A great facility. You may have to work hard to to keep the excellent standards achieved. Pl do keep it up . Opening zip file may be an additional you may include. Thanks & All the Best to the Team. Ambujakshan23rd Jan 2023It gives me great pleasure to record a couple of lines in appreciation of the performance & usage of One drive. I have not been able to insert watermark in word file in iPad. Similarly the possibility of editing of pdf files from iOS may be explored. Thank You TEAM for all your support & achievements. Keep it up.Ambujakshan

  • Problem with Updating progress bar

    SandeepRana

While uploading images to drive. Seems like Cell’s state isn’t retained properly. Keeps changing index and shows wrong progress state and thumbnail. Please check if your let or guard block is written properly. seems like You have forgotten to handle the state where images are either not available or are in a state of loading. Apart from that waiting to progress bar keeps flickering.
