Very intuitive, great user experience

This is a great tool and a must-have for just about anybody. Becomes all the more indispensable when you consider that there is integration into browsers (as plugins) allowing for clipping content from just about anywhere. Very smooth, opens quick and does not get in the way at all. Not a huge memory hog from what ive gathered as well. Good user experience all through. The layout is simple and gets you started quickly and the buttons/toolbars choices is very logical and the features all seem sensibly implemented without going overboard. I wish it had a ruler option for those odd times when you want to be exact. Maybe a future version may have it as an opt-in option. Perhaps ive missed the feature if its already built in, but maybe some bare-basic resposniveness may also be useful. For example maybe i may want to have a picure or paragraph that ive positioned on my larger screen to fit across to do the same on the mobile version of the app as well.
Equation tools missing

Equation tools is a very useful feature on OneNote. Without equation tools, Insert equation option is completely useless. Kindly add this important feature which is available on windows but not on Mac. Equation tools pop up on the side, everytime we click on insert equation in windows PC, But on Mac nothing pops up. Without equation tools it is very difficult to add mathematical equation. Like for Eg. It is not possible to add equations containing vectors or integrations or differentiation. With Equation tools such complex mathematical equtions can be added very easily. Please kindly add this important feature in Mac device as soon as possible. Lack of equation tools tab makes the whole one note experience very unpleasant!!
Everything is perfect, EXCEPT

Everything is smooth. But please improve the speed of sync between two devices. eg. ipad and the mac. its still a hit and a miss. Also please add an option of changing to page format (for people who wants to later export the notes into pdfs). Strongest points of the app:* no other app including Notability or evernote comes even close to the level of flexibility of onenote, including the ability to put the cursor anywhere or the seamless putting up of pictures, applepencil inputs and the keyboard inputs. its insanely great in that. No other app has it. * Sync capability between ipad and mac is completely absent in Notability, rendering it useless for me. this works pretty fine in OneNote, just that the speed of the Sync should be increased and fine tuned. Here evernote is much better.* Evernote becomes useless infront of Onenote because it has no option to create beautiful hierarchies upto 4 level present in the Onenote. Onenote will become an undisputed best notes app if:1. Sync Speeds are increased somehow.2. An option to write within a4 page boundary is given like a toggle to switch between the infinite canvas an bounded A4 spaces.3. Handwriting recognition from the stuffs written from the apple pencil as well as reading the texts in the pictures for super fast searches. (i think this is there in the Windows version. please provide it in mac and ipad also.) 4. More export features and integration such as an integration with website highlighting tools like Weava.thanks.
One frustrating aspect

I love the app, but it has one very frustrating aspect. Whenever you scroll through a page, there is a line pointer on the left (using which you can select a section). Sometimes that line pointer is outside the box (the overall outer box) and at times inside it. When the pointer is outside the box, the box has to shift to the right. And when you move to a line where the pointer is inside, the whole box shifts to the left again. This causes the box in the page to move left to right and causing severe strain on the eye. This is an extremely frustrating aspect of One Note. Have been using the app for years and hoped it would be fixed in the future updates, but not to be. I usually don’t write a review, but doing this out of respect for One Note, hoping this would be noted and fixed. I think it should be simple since the web version doesn’t have the same issue. Can’t believe that something as basic as this hasn’t become a larger issue/hasn’t been fixed.
