Best mail app for the iPad
After I got my iPad, I tried out Apple mail. Now, although it looks like the Mac OS app, it doesn’t feel like that at all. Apple, if you don’t want to make a two pane mail app, don’t use a collapsing sidebar, use a full page to list the mails. Now, GMail is alright, but the app felt just like an iPhone app with a scaled resolution. So, I wanted to try out something else. I saw some positive reviews on reddit and decided to give Outlook a try. I was pleasantly surprised at how clean and usable the app is. The dual pane layout is great. The design and the colour palette is very pleasing to the eye. I also like the focused inbox feature. Apart from that, it’s pretty much standard with the ability to add any IMAP and POP accounts. But hey, that’s all I really needed.
The app is very promising and it’s good to use! But i have a suggestion to check whether this can be implemented.
I have folders and subfolders in my mail box and created rules to put certain emails to go directly to the subfolders, when i receive it. When the folder is not expanded I don’t see the notifications of the subfolders on the folder name which leads to big disadvantage for the employees who works in strict time constraints. Is there any way to put consolidated number of unread subfolder emails number on the parent folder, so that even the person can know there are emails in the subfolders which are yet to be read. Thanks!
The Best Mail Application!
Ironic as it may seem, the best email app for the iPhone is Microsoft’s Outlook. Boasting a clean design without too many frills, Outlook will help you get through your emails as fast as possible and get back to living life.
But there’s one other big advantage to Outlook over other apps like Spark or Edison. And that’s the fact that it’s Outlook, a name that’s practically synonymous with “email app.” In a world where third-party apps get snapped up or vanish like smoke at the drop of a hat, and even Google’s Inbox can’t be trusted to stick around, Outlook offers a level of security that other apps don’t.
