Poor App Great Content
I would like to begin on a positive note - thanks a lot to Nike for great content and motivation to runners. An app that does not charge for the privilege of running with elite runners like Eliud Kipchoge and JBS to name a few (on guided runs) has got to be great. Listening to Coach Bennet after runs is motivation enough to keep going. However, this app is let down by its terrible connectivity and poor functionality. Not much should ideally be needed for a running app but Nike has screwed up. I am extremely frustrated with the apps’ inability to log my training runs per the 10K plan created for me. Believe me, after burning through a run at my limit it hurts to see the app not registering my run against the planned run. Neither does it give the option to log a run against the crafted plan if not logged by the app itself. It’s not rocket science. Neither am I a dodo with phones. Well my rant is over. Maybe Nike will listen and empathise. Either way, I will grumble but keep using the app. I won’t trust if for sure.
Best app for 🏃
Review version 3.0: NRC has been my friend for runs for last 1.5 years, since when I started running. Each and every feature is fantastic.
But as human wants never ends, I have few more inputs. 1. It would be great if you prepare a training schedule based on Maffelock method. In case that's difficult, or time consuming, please provide an heart rate alarm mechanism. So that I can cap the max HR. 2. Please provide the HR zone and the time I have spent in it.
Review Version 2.0: My earlier complain had been listened and rectified. Thanks. Now I have faced a new issue, this time it's with the apple watch app. I see that the my coach doesn't sync to the watch and I cannot start the coached run directly from the watch making it mandatory to carry there phone fort running!
Please rectify there issue.
Review Version 1.0: The playlist from my apple music doesn't sync with the app. Half of the playlist show zero songs.
Way too many bugs in the coaching plan. Tuesday I had a run as per the plan... After I completed the run, I saw that the app had logged out and then when I logged in again... I saw that the coach plan was showing that day as rest day! Similarly it happened today as well... As a result, week 3 of my plan is showing only 2 run sessions and 5 rest days...
Only thing good in the app was the coaching... Now that goes worse too.
Rectify the app else I will shift to other better apps.
I love the basic message of this app - positive reinforcement everyday. It doesn't keep telling you - these many calories need to be burnt, these many workouts need to be done, these are the things you didn't do. It doesn't make you feel bad about your body. It makes you a runner. It makes you love running. Every 500 metre (or whatever you choose) it keeps telling you to go on. It tells you exactly what you have done today. Even if you fall short of the target, it doesn't make you feel bad about yourself. Whoever thought of the concept deserves a pat on the back for making workout and running a delight!
