Worst application which is down most of the time

I've had some good times with the card but lately it's been very frustrating. The add using UPI feature hardly works and every time the transaction says failed after deducting money from the bank. The amount gets stuck for 5 business days and the customer care asked me to use RTGS or NEFT. I did that and then the account got credited, but then the app stopped working and is not updating balance. I don't want to keep large chunks of money in FD to use the credit card and happy to repay my used sum then and there. Due to the constant technical glitches i feel this would cause me a lot of trouble in foreign countries rather than making the hassle of using a forex card go away. Very unreliable and risky using this card in foreign countries. I have used the niyo global card before which used to work on loading basis earlier and it was a much better experience than this - the credit card experience is very unplanned and unreliable.

Extremely Extremely Disappointed

I got a NIYO CREDIT CARD in Sept’23 with a promise to me that it would be used globally without any transaction fee and hassles. Sept end I travelled to Germany with a good amount of money uploaded into my card to be used in this foreign land. From the very first instance when I was trying to pay to my cab driver for the fair from airport to the hotel, the card didn’t work. It DECLINED. I thought may be the first transaction in Germany so the card is throwing an error so I reset all my card’s features in the app thinking it should work now. Then, I tried paying the hotel bill, coffee in a cafe, train ticket, grocery store, withdrawing money from the ATM - IT DIDN’T WORK ANYWHERE. I was literally stranded in this foreign country due to this card. Every time I would contact customer care they said try another merchant and send us screenshots. I tried the card everywhere and it worked no where. It is so mentally frustration and annoying if you are alone in an unknown country without currency. Fortunately I had a credit card from another back which saved me. This card is a fraud and they shouldn’t sell it customers. It could really put you in a lot of trouble. I am extremely disappointed and won’t recommend anyone to use this card. I have requested them to transfer my money back to my savings account. Hoping that atleast they meet this expectation. This card has caused me a lot of mental stress in a foreign land.

Worst Support Ever and Slow Response to Solving Problems

Niyo app was once a frontrunner in the banking sector, but it’s clear that their priorities have shifted drastically. What was once a customer-centric service has now devolved into a profit-chasing machine, with little to no regard for the people who use their platform. The deterioration in their customer service is not just noticeable—it’s glaring. Whether it’s creating a Fixed Deposit or getting a new credit card, every interaction with their support team is a nightmare. The responses are scripted and robotic, making the entire process feel like you’re talking to a wall. They constantly hide behind the excuse that the “backend team is working on it,” a vague and lazy cop-out that seems to last indefinitely—often dragging on for weeks, if not months. It’s not just about the lack of resolution; it’s the mental toll of dealing with a company that’s simply stopped caring. Their support isn’t just ineffective; it’s infuriating and draining. Niyo has lost touch with its roots, and its customers are left paying the price—literally and figuratively. If Niyo doesn’t make drastic changes, they risk losing not just customers, but also their reputation as a once reliable and trustworthy banking service. It’s a shame to see a once-great app fall so far, but until they fix their deeply flawed approach to customer care, they don’t deserve your time or money.
