ProCamera. Raw+ Manual Camera 4+

I have been using this app for many years now and on multiple iphones. Good for those who love manual control over their phones camera. For low light it’s amazing. But 3 out of 10 times when I really want to use it, it does not open, it’s slow to load and not very intuitive is some alternatives. For the record I am using iPhone 11 Pro Max so the latest and greatest.

Thank you for your comment about time of activation. To accelerate, you can start ProCamera from Notification Center by using a widget for direct access to the camera mode you wish to use. Also, you can set up Siri shortcuts and use your voice to open ProCamera in a specific camera mode.

Our developers pay attention to start-up speed and make use of all options available to keep it as short as possible. It takes ProCamera just slightly longer than the native Camera app to be ready for shooting. Really love the app and all its features, i might also purchase the vividHDR option in the near future.
I personally bought it for landscape photography and using with optical instruments like binoculars. Really enjoy the fact that there is a wide choice of formats and focus peaking with zebras really helps.
There is no time-lapse mode in the video section which is the only downside to this app. Also you can’t manually control the bitrate of the video recording but that isn’t an issue for me. Lots of frame rate options as well.

Conclusion: If you just want manual control of iso and shutter speed, this is not the app for you. But if you want a wide range of powerful features with additional raw (not ProRAW) support and a well developed HDR system (vividHDR), this app is perfect for you. For video recording, i would recommend blackmagic camera/filmic pro.

Your vote for a time lapse feature that allows you to create a video of individual photos directly from ProCamera counts. Presently, you can use ProCamera’s ProTimer functionality to shoot individual photos at set intervals. To combine these photos to a video, you could use dedicated software on your computer. Your series can have up to 10,000 photos. The time interval between photos can be any number from 0 to 300 seconds. Also, we’re happy to count your vote for manual control of the bitrate of video.

Overall experience with this app is excellent but one thing I don’t like in its interface is the location of iso and shutter speed which is on top of the screen. If it is on lower portion , it will be more easier to control. I hope developer will do something about it in coming updates.
