Pathetic service from the customer service side and travel experience

I recently traveled did a booking through this application where i was charged so much for the bus fair.. i book a AC Sleeper bus and while traveling first my booked seat was changed.. there was no booking in that specific seat number.. next i was trying to charge my phone that was not there.. i asked for pillow it was not provided, ac was broken.. so i contacted the driver he was rude and told me like the seat if you want.. please note this was happening at 12:00 in middle of the journey from Bangalore to kozhikode.. i raised this all issues to the customer service.. and what they did was they noted this issue for their betterment of service.. nothing was done from their side to help me . I had to adjust and travel after paying nearly 3000 rupees ticket.. this review is for all the people who is planning to book through this application.. your life or safety is not guaranteed.. i have forwarded a mail to the owner of this company also . Which he didn’t even reply.. even if you got harmed while traveling also.. i don’t think their will be any kind of security or protection from the side of Redbus application.. for your good please do book from any other place.. or else if the service section is reading this review.. please bring some change in your policies.. atleast because of us you guys are getting the salaries.. please do something for your users. We are not here for listening your lame excuses after paying alot of money.

Hello Guys !! You would have heard it before that 1st experience is the last experience. I booked two tickets for maysore siteseeing for 26th July 2019 on Redbus app. The booking was accepted and confirmed. I went to the boarding point as scheduled on 6.30 AM. However the KSTDC personnel said the BUS got canceled due to lack of booking. I returned back home and called redbus here comes the support experince. First of all the associate who picked the call was really rude and didn’t allow me to speak and most of the time he said “You have to” as if he is my authority. He said we donot know whether the bus is canceled or not so for ya it’s confirmed so we cannot initiate your refund. And you have no other option other than to wait until we escalate this issue and please book an alternate option. And when he said this he said this in Very rudely. Now I am not sure whether I will get my money back or not as Red bus just raised their hand stating nothing can be done now. The interesting fact is the operator canceled the bus but they are not even in sync what kind of service they are running when the service provider itself not sure about the whereabouts. So al in all it was my 1st booking from red bus and definitely the last one. Hence my sincere request you to all not to book from redbus app or website. They are worst please directly book from kstdc site they are really good and they are polite and helpful. My rating for this app and their total service is worst negative.

RedBus is the worst bus ticket booking service ever. They do not have any coordination with their bus operators. I booked a ticket on 31st May 2022 with redBus and then bus was delayed by 5 hours so I had to cancelled the ticket because it wasn’t possible for me to wait that many hours at boarding point which was fairly 5kms away from my home and in rural area and the bus would be arriving at night time because of the delay otherwise it would have been afternoon. I cancelled my ticket by calling redBus and was told to wait for 48 hours for refund. RedBus tried calling bus operator at the same time but they were not picking up the call. I was told to wait for 48 hours and given option of full refund and cancellation of the ticket or still travel with the bus and I will be given 15% refund for the delay. I chose full refund with cancellation of the ticket. Today is 9th June 2022, 10th day of those 48 hours. As of today, I have been given 48 hours wait option 3 times already and 24 hours option 2 times, there are no signs of refund and now I am getting new information on every call with them like my ticket was never cancelled and you should speak to the bus operator etc. I am not sure at this point that I will be getting my money back so I thought of writing this review to alarm other users of this service.

I’ve generally had great experiences using redBus app and have always found it convenient. However, I recently had a very distressing experience that made me question the safety measures provided by both the bus operators and the app itself. On a recent trip, as a woman traveling alone, I was waiting for a VEGA bus that was delayed by 30 minutes, according to the operator's update. Unfortunately, the delay extended to an hour, and then, at 11 PM, I received a message that the bus had been canceled last minute. The bus operator switched off their phone, leaving me stranded in an unfamiliar town with no way to travel back to my home, as there were no buses available that late. This situation was extremely unsafe, especially for women, and I felt helpless. It was also disappointing to find that the app did not provide any option to leave feedback or a rating for the bus operator since I didn’t actually take the journey. I strongly suggest that the app includes an option for users to leave reviews based on booking and cancellation experiences, even if the trip didn’t take place. This would allow others to be aware of unreliable operators and improve overall user safety. Overall, I hope this app improves its safety measures, particularly for solo travelers, and ensures better accountability from bus operators. Thank you.
