In the last five years from 2013, over 9.7 billion user data records have been breached globally, by theft, leakage, hacking or abuse (source: breach level index). Social networking is particularly exploited. Earlier when life was not ‘smart’, we could choose to keep some things public, some private and some completely secret, decide what to share, with whom and when, connect with people at our convenience and desire or not at all. But the smarter we got, the more exposed and vulnerable our identity, data and life became, cheaply available for trailing, trolling and exploitation. Privacy took a direct hit, falling by the wayside. Fortunately what Riddlock’s small team of software professionals foresaw in 2015 is now the talk of the town, globally, in thinking forums, in new laws framed by governments and with people at large.
Riddlock is a network locker built on a bedrock of user privacy, data privacy and social privacy. Users are anonymous with no name, identity, profile, email, mobile or contact. User data is encrypted using the user’s own data not visible to even the backend team. Users connect in personally controlled private networks to co-edit, share or view specific items which remain independently encrypted between them. Being a locker at the core, Riddlock opens with a unique locker key and personal riddles created by each user incrementally, both of which can be changed by the user any time, any number of times. This does away with the rigid user id and password culture.
Riddlock stores unlimited data in flexible and user-configurable formats. It stores thoughts, memories, emotions, life experiences, sensitive data, important files, mails, custom posters and personal URLs. Both data and files are similarly encrypted. Encryption is unique for each user and for every connected item.
Riddlock stores all your pictures in original and they are available to you in original when you download them. So what you keep in Riddlock remains intact without any optimizations to their quality.
Besides storing user data uniquely and securely, Riddlock provides features to share data, pictures and files with both internal and external users. This includes emailing, posting pictures to your Facebook timeline or posting pictures, video and audio on a personal URL page to share with friends and family who may not have an account in Riddlock!
Most importantly, you can create personal private networks with other Riddlock users and co-own locker items to edit, share or view them concurrently and independently. You can connect the same locker item with different users at the same time and give each user different access rights. These access rights you can change or revoke any time you want.
Riddlock's first full version website was launched in Oct-2017, along with mobile apps, and the private networking connect feature in Jan-2018. It is meant for everyone, including children, because there is no trailing, trolling or exploitation of user data in Riddlock!
