Hard to figure out how to use
There’s been a lot of talk about this app (and others like it, like Clear), whose sparse UI looks beautiful in videos, but it’s actually hard to use, even for someone who’s done iOS programming. It’s hard to figure out how to turn the alarm on after setting the time. It’s hard to know whether the alarm is actually turned on (I think it has something to do with the background color. WTH?). And it’s hard to snooze the alarm, or even know whether you’ve snoozed it or turned it off till tomorrow morning.
This app may get people in the UX / UI Design circles talking excitedly, and while it looks beautiful in a video or in screenshots, it’s hard to actually use as an alarm clock.
Ill tell u why apple alarm is still better ..
1. Rise has no multiple alarms
2. App does not work on do not disturb nor when the app is shut on silent mode
3. The sounds inbuilt dont actually help wake up they are too soft for alarms
4. The app anyway gets shut after the phone goes on sleep where it doesnt make a difference if app is open or not
5. The snooze function is dicy, apple alarms have a simple button press.
All the above measures are contributed so that in genuine reasons can contribute towards betterment of the app and be the best app on appstore.
Best and most Simple alarm app ever!
After using a variety of alarm apps, using Rise is like a breeze. Most of the essential and commendable features are present in paid version. It's not just about the features. It's about the experience.
