Great card Great service

I have been a customer for quite some time now, and I must say that I am thoroughly impressed with the user-friendly interface of your credit card services. The online portal and mobile app make it incredibly easy for me to manage my account, track transactions, and pay my bills hassle-free. Why in the world is location permission mandatory?!

I’ve been using the SBI Card for quite sometime now, and it was working well. However, the latest update to Version 7.4.7 has made it so I’m unable to even log in to the app without giving it location permission, for the reason of the app “protect against unsecured Wi-Fi connections”. There is no option to cancel the said “suggestion” from the app and continue. It just doesn’t log in if you cancel the same, and only allows you to continue to log in after you’ve given it location permission by going to settings. This is just not done! Developer, I hope this is a mistake and would be rectified at the earliest. There is no reason location permission should be mandatory for the functional aspect of the app! And please don’t tell me it is a regulatory requirement when it most definitely is NOT! There is absolutely no such requirement from the regulators; and if your response still contains reference to the same, it makes it extremely clear that you do not even read the entire review before you respond! And if you do read the entire review, kindly quote the regulatory circular number including the section, subsection and date of circular for all to see!

Dear Customer, location access is required to check and alert you in case your SBI Card app is being used on an open/unsecured network. This is required as per the regulatory guidelines. Layout is bad and customer unfriendly

Layout was changed and finding one required is difficult. If I want to write a mail after login I have to exit to find mail in first page. If Face ID is enabled one has to do circus to stop login and press mail icon. Once icon is pressed it asks for login and so I don’t find any reason to keep this icon in ore login page. So working on this new layout is cumbersome and unfriendly.
The SBI server is very bad and often getting error message can’t be connected to server try afterwards.
It used to be seamless to work on previous platform but not this. I tried to do BT on emi, it goes through the process, I got confirmation mail with emi schedule but next day the amount is returned to SBI card account and reason is unknown. Then I did BT with EMI calling to call centre but result is same, no transfer. In this process I missed deadline of other credit card and heavy finance charges for late payment too.
Finally it’s a bad experience on new app layout.
Needs urgent upgrade.
