My review isn’t of the Shaadi app per se, but of our “great” Indian society. Firstly, more than half of the profiles of women don’t have pics. What are you doing on this app, if you don’t want to show your face? It seems like they are just testing the waters to see what this app has to offer which means that they aren’t serious. I strongly believe that matrimonial apps shouldn’t allow the option of not uploading the pics. I don’t want to hear the rotten reasoning that the pics can be misused, well when did these Instagram addicted girls starting caring about the misuse of pics?? Secondly, if you are a guy living in the US or Canada, be prepared to get hounded by gold-diggers. Women — even the unemployed ones — on this app are desperate to land in the US or Canada and they and their families care more about your NRI tag than anything else. Finally, the system itself seems ok to me — if not great. The dire situation is that people who are using it are chasing winds. If you are an average looking guy, don’t bother to throw away your hard-earned money on this. Your education and employment credential don’t matter since even below-average looking girl from a poor background will reject you in a blink of an eye judging just from your profile pic without visiting your profile. Let me break it down to you: when you give options to a beggar by showing them a stack of profiles and selling them dreams— the old saying “beggars can’t be choosers” doesn’t apply. Find a matchmaker who can arrange a meeting with your potential match or go the old way of putting an ad in a newspaper matrimonial. This app is a total waste of time.

Though you can be on the app to find your match or buy a service. But do not buy the most premium Select Shaadi.I had the worse experience. They tell you to download a new app. The select app and basic shaadi app are not in sync. So basically my agent kept calling the members who were accepted and declined months ago. The premium I paid was 17k. Can you imagine how much money I wasted. They weren’t even able to connect me and follow up with atleast 2 matches. The very first problem you will face is their agents keep leaving their jobs so again and again you hv to discuss with the new person. They did not think twice to charge that hefty amount also they didn’t think twice to strategise how to make sure that the shaadi leads respond to their select members coz 95% of the time I could see that agents were making calls to prospect guys but none were responding or even picking the call of these agents. Such normal calling stuff can then be done from family also with the least premium service.I even raised the mail for this complaint but did not get reply.Select shaadi is just a waste of money.

Do not ever buy Shaadi VIP or Shaadi Select plans. The sales team will make it sound like they have a different app for VIP and they have lots of premium profiles that you do not have access to. But these are all lies. Even if you get VIP for which you need to pay 50k. You will get data from same database as other normal users. Another point is that they won’t provide anything other than just calling on behalf of you. They will share some profiles with you every week. If you are interested you will let then know and they will call on behalf of you that is it. I bought this service. Got it paused as I was busy with some personal stuff. Once I decided to go ahead with my search I got to know what I just stated above. I requested for a refund on the same day after 2 hours but they did not understand and were persistent that either I continue with the plan or find someone else to whom this service can be transferred(basically asking me to fool someone else to get my money back). I feel like I have been fooled. Beware. Once you pay. They won’t listen. Worst support team and policies ever.

They first disabled my profile with no reason without even notifying me, and when I tried to reactivate it by sending an email, they started requesting personal documents, not just my Aadhar card but also my work experience letter and educational degree. This was a really wrong approach while I was the premium member, but I still provided them, thinking they would reactivate it. Four months passed, and there was still no solution. On top of that, after four months, they deleted the app after discussing for long over the call with supervisor because customer care was behaving like a bot. I reinstalled it and tried to log in again, but the app is so frustrating. When I tried to upload photos, it denied access with an error. I went into the settings and granted access, but the same issue persisted. It seems like this app is not being managed properly, and the customer care service is not helping either. Moreover, it's almost impossible to get in touch with customer care, and even if you do, they respond as if they are automated bots. 😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡🤯🤯🤯🤯😤😤😤😤😤😤
