Soundcloud needs to evolve to stay in the game

Soundcloud is one of its kind and I like its app and website with easy controls and fluid surfing. But the feature it lacks is the ability to play at 1.5x and 2x which is essential listening for various podcasts. Soundcloud is not just used for music, people also use it for podcast. I prefer this app for podcasts because it doesn’t shove recommendations down your throat like other podcast apps. Getting a 2x option will be a win win and great evolution for soundcloud too. Keep up the good work.

Filled with bugs

Here are a couple of imminent problems as reported by other reviewers but SoundCloud doesn’t seem to care or address.

1. Liked tracks actually don’t get liked. Despite pressing the liked button and the track indicating a orange heart symbol, the tracks actually don’t show up on my liked page.

2. Loading Error, doesn’t refresh: perhaps the most reported bug in the app is the annoying loading error. The landing page doesn’t load or refresh the page despite hitting on refresh. Even dragging it down to cause it bring the spinning circle doesn’t do anything. It simply doesn’t work when you need it, and very randomly will get refreshed. — this happens across all pages including the Stream page.

3. Existing tracks don’t play: suppose you try to play a track from the Stream page, it doesn’t play it whatsoever. It’ll load the initial few seconds and then be stuck in perpetuity trying to stream it.

Honestly this app is unusable, and not worthy of being on your phone. The developers clearly don’t care enough to address these issues since this has been going for a while now. Shame because it’s direct competitor, Mixcloud is rather timely at ensuring all bugs are addressed correctly. My suggestion, uninstall this and move to Mixcloud.

SoundCloud Phone application on iPhone 7

Hi,
I’ve been using the SoundCloud app for more than 5 years and it was probably the best music app out there and I’m sure it still is, however I’ve been facing some serious lags/issues with the phone application - for instance: singing in issue, it takes a decade to sign in through your email and it was so smooth before.
Second, the app has started crashing a lot plus the song always show a loading error as soon you want to play anything, after I repeatedly try and play it, somehow it then manages to load out of nowhere.

We really need an update for this app!! And immediately!!! SoundCloud developers please look into it. I’m using an iPhone 7 - iOS 13.7 - latest.
