What’s New
Version 7.3.1
In this update, the mobile app will now save your reading progress. Also, readers can now find all of the Atlantic’s narrated articles in one place in the Discover section of the app.

Excellent “Today” view and reading experience
The “Today” view is excellent to browse. The daily story notification always feels welcome. I like that this app puts the focus on the content. Possible bug: When viewing a story, the title, header image, and first few paragraphs don’t render for the first 5–10 seconds. The remaining paragraphs render immediately though. Feature requests: (1) Allow toggling light/dark mode in the app independently of the system settings. (2) There should be an easy and reliable way to open a story in the app from a story page in Safari.
Exceptional but buggy
It crashes a little, lags a little but thats probably because it was optimized for better devices than the 3GS. I love it - lots of quality content.
Title, image not showing
Once I select an article to read, the title, the cover image, the first paragraph do not show at all for 90% articles. For 10% articles it loads after about 20-30 seconds. Refreshing the page does nothing to help load or increase the loading speed.
This issue has been ongoing for almost a year. Really surprised nobody fixed it.
