Description
TRAI DND App will help consumers to curb unwanted Telemarketing Calls/SMS by reporting to their respective telecom service provider (TSP). With this App, consumers will be able to:
1) Register their mobile number under DND (Do-Not-Disturb)
2) Report spam SMS/Calls, after DND registration.
Note:
For reporting spam Call/SMS, App will auto-create an complaint registration SMS, for sending it to respective TSP. Complaint registration SMS will be sent to toll free number 1909.
TRAI DND App will not block any SMS/Calls from authentic businesses/entities that you have subscribed too, e.g your bank, food delivery apps, travel/taxi apps etc.

Disappointing Experience – App Doesn’t Work at All
I installed the TRAI DND app hoping to register my number for DND services, but it doesn’t work at all. After entering my number, I receive the OTP, but the app just shows “please wait” with no option to enter the OTP. I tried several times, even reinstalled the app, but the same issue persists.
It’s frustrating that such a basic functionality is broken. If the app can’t even allow users to log in, what’s the point of launching it? Please fix this issue urgently—else stop misleading users with a non-functional app.

Excellent mode to block spam
This does wonder and ease to report the spam calls and sms. In most of the case I get update from the telecom provider (Airtel) that they have taken action against the spammer. If many users use this app and report on timely basis, we can reduce the spam significantly.
Not sure why users complain about the app, after enabling the plugin, we don’t depend on the app afterwords.
Helping
I began reporting spam calls and monitoring their status, and I’ve noticed a positive response from TRAI. The number of spam calls I receive has dropped significantly—from around 20 a week to just 4 or 5. That’s a big improvement. Let’s all do our part and report spam calls.
The ticket resolution time could be improved further.
