Description
Vinegar is a Safari extension that replaces the YouTube player with a minimal HTML video tag.
It removes ads, restores picture-in-picture, and keeps videos playing in the background.
Note: The "can read information from webpages" text in the permission section is just unfortunate wording. Vinegar needs access to the web page to find the YouTube player and replace it. It's not doing anything creepy!
(By the way, check out Vinegar's companion app, Baking Soda. It's basically a less powerful version of Vinegar, but it works on all websites other than YouTube.)

Ratings and Reviews
Video quality bar does not appear
Can’t change video quality because tapping the corner icon doesn’t show the expanded quality options and even if 1080p is selected, video still plays at 360p
Great but buggy
The adblocking and background playback+pip works great, but the quality selector is broken. Often the button does not work, and even if occasionally it shows 1080p, the video is clearly 360p.
No Replay or Play Again Button.
I love this app, but needs to add some features like play again so that it helps when you're learning.
