Worst customer service - inflated bills

I have had a bad experience with Virgin mobile, I had purchased a device at the yorkdale mall store and was asked to make a security deposit of 400$ , I spent an additional 400 dollars towards down payment of the device and also exchanged my old phone for a smartwatch. My trouble started 2 weeks later when virgin mobile account started showing an outstanding of 400$ which was due at an earlier date. I tried calling customer care, they assured that everything was okay and it will be sorted out when the next bill is generated. The very next day I receive a call from collections asking me to pay 400$ or my phone line would be disconnected, I explained to them that there is nothing outstanding and I have paid all my dues, then the customer care team comes up with this weird reason that store payments take 20 days to reflect on your account so please make an additional payment of 400$ immediately, I made a payment of around 500$ including the next month bill. Now currently after 3 weeks when I asked for the refund of the amount that I payed additionally the customer care is saying that my security deposit is 800$ instead of 400$. I intend to take this up with the small complaints redressal service.
