Great app for the GRE verbal section

I have just finished my GRE exam and found that this app was incredibly helpful for me. I would recommend this app to anyone preparing for the GRE general exam. I would recommend that this app is used along with the vocab Flashcards app. This app makes learning fun by giving options to choose from, but the downside of that is that when multiple options are presented, it’s easier to figure out the meaning of a word. To truly learn new words, I found it more helpful to supplement the vocab Flashcards app with this one.

Examples were a headache

The vast framework of the course is good but the examples, might I add, are tasteless at best or downright insensitive at worst. Was the person in charge of compiling those examples an old white guy or girl allergic to the younger generations and new discourses in the arts? Like, the Native American populations being reduced to half because of small pox, dissing pop culture, modern day talk shows? Why quote/make up examples that exhibit such a level of ignorance and moreover force your users to join in on that? Are they being daft on purpose cuz the examples just invited my frustration and I was more than inclined to close the app on multiple occasions. This might be a me problem. This might also be the frustration a lot of younger academics feels when they see those examples. I don’t know. Have you had such a complain before? Did anyone ask you to reconsider those examples? I wanna enjoy learning. Not go away because of my impending headache. Please reconsider. It would do your app more good.
Best wishes.

Great app but..

I really appreciate the developer providing us with such high quality prep materials for various exams completely free of charge.
With that said, the app isn’t perfect, and certain words have multiple meanings, and one of them can only be selected based on context. Since the app doesn’t provide context (in the form of a sentence) when it asks for the meaning of a word, it’s sometimes frustrating to get through the exercises because multiple words are flagged as incorrect and then when the answer is shown along with an example sentence, you realise which meaning of the word you were supposed to pick.
